Schools in Sturbridge

School starts on Tuesday, August 31, 2010, for elementary, junior and high school students.

Sturbridge is part of the five-town Tantasqua Union 61 School District.  The other four towns in the district are Brimfield, Brookfield, Holland, and Wales.

Each of the five towns has its own elementary school for grades K-6.

For grades 7-8, students from all five towns converge to attend the district-wide Tantasqua Junior High School.

The very young Tantasqua Regional High School serves the five towns' students in grades 9-12.

School News:  Two very important meetings in October 2009:  On Wed. 10/14, citizens of Sturbridge will meet at Burgess Elementary School to discuss and vote on whether to move forward with the school's renovation.  On Mon 10/29, the issue will be voted upon by ballot.  Please make an effort to participate in both of these events.
