Real Estate in Sturbridge
As with many towns in Massachusetts, Sturbridge has felt the impact of the economic downturn that started in 2007. Home prices have fallen somewhat: The average sale price for a single family home in Sturbridge was around $250,000 in 2009. This does not mean that every home in Sturbridge has fallen 15% in value. It simply means that homes in the high end of the market did not sell in 2009. Now in early 2010, we are starting to see more movement at all price levels.
Our town has become known for its highly accessible, central location in New England, which attracts people of varied professions. For people moving into town, Sturbridge offers quite a variety of housing options: condominiums,
waterfront property, contemporary homes in secluded wooded settings, mobile homes, antique homes, cottages, small one-level homes, and new executive-style houses. If you are looking to make a move and want a central location, do consider Sturbridge.
