Public Auctions and Foreclosures in Sturbridge and Surrounding Towns
Foreclosed properties have affected us all. In the past two years, property values in Worcester County have fallen, largely because of the high number of foreclosures that have emerged. These properties, often called "distressed" properties, are typically sold by banks at prices lower than a privately-owned home. While these type of properties can often be considered to be real estate deals, they are complicated and take longer time periods for the sale to complete.
The fact that so many people in our region are losing their homes is a shame. The causes are many, and the fallout is great. There are several options available to folks in danger of having their home taken by the bank, but many home owners who are in trouble simply do not know that help exists. In fact, many mortgage lenders are now agreeing to selling homes as short sales, which can be more desireable to a home owner than going into a foreclosure.

I currently hold the designation of Certified Distressed Property Expert (CDPE), having completed rigorous training that specifically addresses ways to help home owners who are in trouble with their home payments.
If you know of someone who is having difficulty paying their mortgage, please have them contact me for a confidential discussion about the options available to them.
And if you are interested in purchasing a property, distressed or otherwise, I am available to help. Just give me a call and we'll set up a time to meet: (508) 982-0686.
